Leadership

Officer Structure

Our leadership consists of the Pastor, the Elders and the Deacons, each having assignments and responsibilities in the governing and operation of the church.

Elders

Elders are chosen by the people. They are persons of faith, dedication and good judgment. Together with the Pastor, the Minister of the Word, they constitute the Session and exercise leadership, government and discipline. They encourage people in the worship and service of God, equip and renew them for their tasks within the Church and for their mission in the world. The Clerk of Session is Pam Starks.

Deacons

The Deacons provide service to God through ministry to others. Theirs is a ministry of sympathy, witness and service. It is the duty of Deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless and to any who may be in distress. Deacons, in the exercise of their duties, are representative of the inner heart of Jesus. The Co-Moderators of the Deacons are Joanne Blizzard and Wanda Kennedy.
