KEEPING CURRENT
2010 Lenten Study Group met in the Fellowship Hall for one month to discover the deeper meaning of the Lenten Season, with daily studies and weekly discussions.
Pastoral Loan Fund Established
One of the problems in bringing a Pastor from out of state, especially a young Pastor, is the challenge to amass funds for the purchase of housing. One of our members, in recognizing this problem, has given a donation and designated it for a fund to be available to our new Pastor should he and his wife wish to buy a home at some date in the future. In making this initial donation it is hoped that others will recognize the need and contribute to the fund.
The fund would assist in offering a loan at no interest to the Pastor, which would be returned at a later date when the home was sold. Session has approved this fund with the hope of producing enough for a 20% down payment should our new Pastor and his wife decide to purchase in lieu of renting. Should you decide to contribute to this fund please designate it for "The Pastor's Loan Fund."
